SM Prime Holdings Inc., the largest Philippine shopping mall operator, said second-quarter profit rose 12 percent after adding new three shopping malls and expanding three others. Net income rose to 1.6 billion pesos (US$ 36 million) in the three months ended June 30 from 1.4 billion pesos in the previous year, Manila-based SM Prime said. Sales rose 8 percent to 4.4 billion pesos, it said.
