THE country’s biggest shopping mall developer and operator would be opening its second SM branch in Las Piñas on Friday. In a statement, SM Prime Holdings Inc. said that it will open its 35th shopping mall in the Philippines along Alabang-Zapote Road, Barangay Talon, Pamplona in Las Piñas. It is also SM Prime’s second mall in the city, after SM City Southmall.

The mall, which has a gross floor area of 32,387 square meters, would have SM Hypermarket, Ace Hardware, Watsons and Banco de Oro as anchor tenants. Other tenants include Jollibee, Savory Chicken,

The Old Spaghetti House and Inasal Chicken Bacolod.
SM Supercenter Las Piñas also provides parking slots for over 500 vehicles and a terminal for public utility vehicles.

Las Piñas City is consistently recognized as one of the cleanest and greenest cities in Metro Manila and nationwide. The city was also included in the Philippine Cities Competitiveness Ranking Project of the Asian Institute of Management.

With the opening of SM Center Las Piñas, SM Prime now has a total combined gross floor area of 4.4 million square meters nationwide.

It is the second SM mall to be opened this year after SM City Naga in Camarines Sur, which was inaugurated in May.

The company has also completed and unveiled earlier this year three expansion projects, namely the Sky Garden at SM City North EDSA, the SM City Fairview Annex, and the extension of SM City Rosales in Pangasinan.

Before the year ends, SM Prime is scheduled to open SM City Rosario in Cavite.
