MANILA – The condominium arm of SM Prime Holdings Inc has taken high-rise living to a new level with the opening of its first residential mall that features digital cinemas.
In a statement, SM Development Corporation (SMDC) said the Light Mall at Light Residences in Mandaluyong has three state-of-the-art digital cinemas with 100 seats each.
Designed by international design firm SPARK, Light Mall has 12,672 square meters of leaseable space and is the fourth SMDC mall after Jazz Mall in Makati, Sun Mall and MPlace Mall in Quezon City.
Light Mall features popular restaurants such as Chef Lau’s Pugon Roasters, Taisho Ramen, Eduardo’s Peri-Peri and US diner American Eggheads. Other dining places are Classic Savory, Formosa Bakery, Sbarro, Shakey’s and Wendy’s.
Light Mall’s anchor tenants include Savemore, Watsons, Automatic Centre, Ace Hardware, BDO and National Bookstore. The mall also features tenants for Cyberzone, Wellness, and Services.
Launched in March 2010, Light Residences, which took five years to complete, is a three-tower residential condominium development that offers ready-for-occupancy units. The condo mall is located at Madison St. corner EDSA, a main thoroughfare and is linked to the Boni-EDSA MRT station.
“With Light Mall, we wanted to offer our residents the utmost convenience, a home where they can entertain family and friends at the cinema and dine at a number of restaurants just a few floors down; a home where they can avail of multiple services and readily access mass transport systems to take them to work, school or any other destination of their choice,” SMDC executive vice president Jose Mari Banzon said.
“We have our residents’ needs in mind with every new development. This is our motivation as we harness the synergies of the SM Group of Companies to bring special lifestyle offerings to the communities where we operate,” he said.
