SENIOR citizens enjoyed a day of fun in a Christmas party and sing and dance showdown organized by SM Supermalls in Cebu City and in Consolacion town.
 
Dubbed “Seniors Day at the Mall” under the SM Cares program, the project championed the needs of senior citizens.
Aside from providing them with services for leisure and ease, SM also gives them opportunities for them to rediscover their self-worth in society.
 
In SM City Cebu, senior citizens participated in a sing and dance showdown at the Event Centre, while senior citizens in Consolacion town enjoyed the Christmas party held at the SM City Consolacion Event Centre.
 
The seniors enjoyed the fun games with lots of prizes.
 
SM goes beyond offering senior citizens courtesy lanes. The mall also designs programs that encourage the elderly to be more active, engaged and social through activities that promote healthy lifestyle, and provide trainings for the elderly, from information technology to livelihood.
 
To support the government’s thrust, SM also gave them the opportunity to become casual employees, working as mall greeters and ushers.
