2015 X Factor Australia winner Cyrus delights the crowd with his performance of Stone as well as his own renditions of well-loved Christmas carols.

SM Mall of Asia recently launched its holiday festivities with the lighting of the giant Christmas Tree, gift-giving and an exclusive homecoming concert of Cyrus Villanueva, the 2015 X Factor Australia grand winner.

Cyrus from Wollongong, New South Wales won Season 7 of X Factor Australia last year. His father is a Filipino and his mother is Australian, and he comes from a musical family as both his father and brother are professional entertainers. Prior to entering X Factor, Cyrus was studying graphic design at the University of Wollongong and doing gigs in bars, cafés and at weddings during his spare time. Aside from singing, he also plays the guitar and piano. The Fil-Aussie cutie is now a recording artist of Sony Music and his new single Stone is now available on iTunes.

During his exclusive concert, he amazed the audience with his super cool voice in his own renditions of well-loved Christmas carols like Silent Night, Oh Holy Night and Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas. Being an avid fan of Justin Bieber, he serenaded the crowd with his own version of Justin’s Love Yourself. He also performed his original song Stone, Is This Love and On My Own.

Santa and Friends Very MOA Wonderland also featured the lighting of the giant Christmas tree, which has been part of the SM Mall of Asia holiday tradition since 2006.

The 54-ft Christmas tree, said to be the tallest indoor tree in the country, has over 500 ornaments and is embellished with red and white Christmas balls with stripes and polka dots, cute little Santas, gift boxes around the tree and mini Santa and Friends decors.

Being the season for sharing, this year’s beneficiary for SM Mall of Asia’s Christmas Bears of Joy is the Make a Wish Foundation that helps kids with life-threatening diseases.

With just a simple purchase of a stuffed bear worth P200 at any SM branch, SM will give one also to the children of Make a Wish Foundation, giving them a chance to feel that warmth of the season with just a small gesture.

More excitement awaits the shoppers at the SM Mall of Asia with the Grand Festival of Lights every Saturday of December until Dec. 25.
