THE Universal Reality Combat Championship (URCC),  the longest running mixed martial arts promotion in Asia  is holding its final event for the year 2014- The URCC 25 ‘TAKEOVER on October 23 at the SM MOA Arena.

According to event organizer Alvin Agula, the Wrestling Federation of the Philippines president, bannering the fightnight will be muay thai standout Onyok Transamonte of Submission Sport who will go up against Maic Gym’s Andrew Benibe for the vacant  URCC bantamweight belt.

A member of the Philippine Volcanos rugby team Nickson Kole -a native of Papua New Guinnea  will face Chris Hoffman of Deftacs.

Both undefeated in the amateur circuit, the two fighters highlight the matchcard of the event supported by Tribal, BT Auto Sport Corp., Chevrolet Makati,Hyundai Paranaque West,Shacman,Build Your Dreams,Colt 45,Anzahl,Solar Transport and AutomotiveResources Corp.,WIT Autoi Group,and sanctioned by the Games and Amusement Board.

In other match-ups, Japan’s ‘Death from Tokyo’ Hideo Morikawa returns to take onRyan Jakiri of Submission Sport. Hideo holds the distinction as a very dangerous fighter as most of his victories were TKOs that almost always leave his opponents in a bloody mess, even as Knockout King Caloy Baduria of Elorde’s  returns to action against  Mark Palomar of Lomibao Hyper MMA.

The ‘Takeover will also be the last hurrah for legendary mixed martial artist Angelito Manguray.

Starting his career at a late age of 42,Manguray was able to win the URCC belt. He will be fighting  dangerous Miguel Mosquera  of Submission Sport.

Meanwhile, crowd favorite Alvin Ramirez of Yaw-Yan Buhawi will test one of Davao’s best upcoming fighter Jessie Paul del Valle of Beefit Python.
