(January 18, 2014) Cebu City, Cebu – SM Prime Holdings Inc. (SMPHI) announced that its third and largest supermall in Cebu, which is also eyed as the world’s fourth biggest mall, is set to soft open in September 2015, as construction is nearing 30 percent completion, an official of the company said.
“The project brings a lot of excitement to local and international tenants,” said SMPHI vice president for Visayas and Mindanao Marissa Fernan. SMPHI is developing the SM Seaside City Cebu, which stretches from the northern part of the South Road Properties (SRP) to the sea with a ground floor area of about 409,000 square meters.
Designed by Arquitectonica, an international architecture, interior design and planning firm from Miami Florida, the grand, first-of-its-kind urban development at the SRP will dramatically change the landscape of the city with its nautilus-inspired design of expanding, concentric arcs from a central multi-purpose space.
