After the UN Convention on the Rights of the Child was adopted in November 1989, the UN General Assembly recommended that all countries choose a day to promote children’s welfare. Henceforth, since its adoption by the United Nations, the Convention has been signed or ratified by more countries than any other international treaty.

Foundation, school sign training pact

Female high school graduates will undergo training at the Punlaan School under the SM Foundation Inc. scholarship program. In a memorandum of agreement signed by SM Foundation represented by executive director Debbie Sy and executive director for education Carmen Linda Atayde and Punlaan School executive director and CEO Luz M. Falmer, SM Foundation will fund the full tuition of the scholars who will pursue the two-year dual training program in food and beverage services.
