MANILA, Philippines—SM Prime Holdings Inc., the country’s largest shopping mall developer, announced on Sunday it would begin this month a one-year expansion and redevelopment plan for SM City Baguio based on an environment-friendly blueprint adhering to globally accepted “green” building standards.

SM PRIME Holdings Inc., the country’s t largest shopping mall operator and developer, has successfully raised P5 billion worth of notes to finance capital expenditures this year.

PRESIDENT BENIGNO S.C. Aquino III has designated a building belonging to the SM Prime Holdings Inc. in Mandaluyong City as the newest “information technology (IT) hub,” with tax incentives of up to four years to be granted to any IT enterprise that will set up offices there.

The Operation Tulong Express program of SM Foundation, recently provided assistance to 81 families in Sagay City, identified by Department of Social Welfare and Development.

MANILA, Philippines — Assistance to victims of tropical storm “Sendong” in Cagayan de Oro City and Iligan City continues to pour in, with SM Group so far donating P10 million, the Swiss government extending P15 million relief aid, and the Bulacan provincial government giving P400,000.

THE SM Group has so far donated P10 million to victims of Typhoon Sendong in the cities of Cagayan de Oro and Iligan.
